Liz here from Playin' Hooky Designs! I'm a crochet designer living the good life in the mountains of Colorado with my husband and two (soon to be 3!) kids. I've been crocheting and creating my own designs for 5 years. I like making custom, made-to-order hats, headbands, and discs because it gives you the power to get exactly what you want!

I’m a Texas girl at heart, but I’ve been in Colorado for over 7 years. I've only been skiing once, even though my husband and his entire family are pros! I live about 40 minutes away from a ski resort which gives me plenty of inspiration from the local culture and the people I meet here.

The best inspiration strikes at the oddest moments and it's not something you can force. I love using texture and shapes in my designs so I’m always on the lookout for something new. Typically I let the designs find me and try not to fight them when they turn out differently than I expected.

I'm a one-woman sweat shop. I design, crochet, and promote everything I do by myself, so you know you'll get a Playin' Hooky original every time. I put a lot of time and love into everything I do and I hope it shows.

Next up for Playin' Hooky is to take over the media! This season I'm being featured in two magazines and a Canadian snowboarding tv show! It won't be long until the whole world is PLAYIN' HOOKY!!!
